I’m majoring in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DS&AI) at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Before becoming a freshman, I thought that while my major involved coding, it wouldn’t be anything like a Computer Science (CS) degree. However, after two years at HUST, I’ve come to realize that DS&AI is very much a CS major - we just get exposed to AI earlier than the CS students and gain additional knowledge in Data Science.
A strong foundation in Computer Science is essential for my AI journey. I’ve never been a top student - in fact, I’ve often been near the bottom of my class. But better late than never. Now, I’m reviewing CS concepts to fill in the gaps and strengthen what I already know.
Some of my posts are written in Vietnamese, but most will be in English since I’ve always studied CS and AI using English materials, so I’m more familiar with English terminology.
